Work With Me
Fractional Creative Director & Strategic Advisory
I work as a fractional creative director and strategic advisor for founders and leadership teams navigating change. The problem may be a decision you cannot seem to make, a business that has changed faster than its story, a brand pulled in too many directions, or a creative project that has lost its shape. We look at the work as it is now, decide what matters most, and make the next move easier to see.
I use technology where it is useful, but I do not hand over the thinking. The work still depends on judgment: understanding what matters, what does not, and what is true for the people behind the business.
01 A Clarity Session
For a decision that has been sitting too long.
A focused working session for founders and creative leaders who need an experienced outside perspective before making their next move.
This may be useful when you are:
- Considering a rebrand, repositioning, or new direction
- Choosing between competing ideas, offers, or opportunities
- Trying to understand why the brand no longer reflects the business
- Preparing for a launch, expansion, partnership, or period of visibility
- Feeling stuck in a decision that has become too close to see clearly
Before we meet, I review a short questionnaire and any materials that will help me understand the context. In the session, we identify the real question, separate the essential from the incidental, and determine what needs to happen next.
- A 90-minute or two-hour working session
- A recording of the conversation
- A concise written synthesis
- Clear priorities, decisions, and recommended next steps
02 A Season
For work that has outgrown its current story, structure, or identity.
A three-month advisory engagement for a founder, leadership team, institution, or creative practice in a period of meaningful change.
A Season creates room to look beneath the immediate request. Rather than rushing into a new identity, campaign, website, or plan, we examine what has changed, what remains essential, and what the work needs to become next.
This may be useful when:
- Your business has grown, but the brand still reflects an earlier version
- New products, audiences, services, or initiatives have made the organization feel fragmented
- Leadership needs alignment before engaging a design team or agency
- A founder's original point of view is being diluted as the company grows
- You are entering a new chapter and need a stronger narrative, decision framework, or creative direction
The engagement is tailored to the situation, but typically includes working sessions, review of existing materials, selected stakeholder conversations, and a written point of view that gives the next phase structure.
- A clear understanding of what has changed and what must remain
- Language for the next chapter of the organization or brand
- Decision principles to guide leadership, collaborators, and future work
- A practical direction for what to prioritize, build, revise, or leave behind
- A strategic and creative brief that can guide internal teams or an execution partner
03 Fractional Creative Direction
For organizations that need an ongoing fractional creative director, not another isolated project.
A continuing partnership for companies and institutions whose brand is active across multiple initiatives, teams, partners, audiences, or channels.
This is for organizations that have outgrown managing brand work project by project. You may already have internal marketing staff, outside vendors, agency partners, or a strong founder point of view. What is missing is a senior creative partner to hold the larger picture and make sure the work remains coherent as it expands.
- Setting creative direction for a new phase of growth, visibility, or change
- Guiding brand expression across campaigns, communications, environments, products, web, and customer experience
- Helping internal teams and outside partners make decisions that remain connected to the brand
- Reviewing work, shaping briefs, and identifying when a project needs more clarity before execution
- Building a practical roadmap for how the brand evolves over time
- Serving as a consistent steward of the organization's voice, character, and visual direction
- Monthly retainer
- Six-month minimum commitment
- Regular leadership and working sessions
- Defined availability for review, direction, and strategic decisions
- A shared roadmap that prioritizes the work requiring attention
Design Execution
When a project needs more than direction, The Copper Portico is the design practice I bring in to translate strategy into identity, systems, and experience.
Tano Skincare is one example: what began with its brand identity and initial packaging grew into a partnership across new product formats, product education, email, and investor materials. The work stays connected because the original strategy continues to guide each new touchpoint.
"I highly recommend Lilian and her dedicated, extremely talented team. Expect great work ethic, prompt responses, exceptional attention to detail, and an ability to translate your vision into a beautifully cohesive visual identity. Very happy with my final results."
