The G.I.V.E. Playground project is an initiative that is coming to life in 2019 thanks to the Green Apple Piglets, a group of visioners focused on creating a world of connection, love
The goal of the project is to revamp a park in a less privileged area in Miami with a design focused on gratitude, creating an inviting experiential place for children. The concept, which we had the honor of bringing to life, is a result of amazing brainstorming and collaborations with the group.
The main idea for the logo creation was children’s hands, bringing the notion of team. The hands were designed to show a physical characteristic of children (shorter fingers), allowing people to easily identify them.
The hands have different colors, representing different races. They were inspired by the chromatic circle, which is the representation of the colors perceived by the human eye. Their combinations are endless, as are the races.
The background has a round circle with a colorful dashed frame, inspired by a roundabout playground, which rotates while children play.
For the word “Give”, a ludic font that conveys amusement was chosen, while for “Gratitude Inspires Visions Everywhere” a clean font was chosen to bring formality. Its incomplete circle shape was inspired by a rainbow.
Here are some applications created for the project:
